Visiting Postdoctoral research appointments are occasionally available with individual faculty members and researchers of the Space Sciences Laboratory of the University of California at Berkeley. Appointments are normally made for one or two years with the possibility of renewal for a second or third year. Highly qualified persons are invited to apply for positions to be assumed at the time of, or shortly after, the completion of doctoral studies. A single application should be addressed to the faculty member or researcher with whom the applicant prefers to be associated and mailed to: Ms. Judy Jones, Space Sciences Lab, University of California, Berkeley, CA 94720-7450 In the event that no position is available with that faculty member or researcher, the application will be circulated to others with similar research interests. Arrangements should be made for one confidential letter of reference to be sent by the person best able to judge the applicants research achievements and potential. Applications should include a resume, a brief statement of research experience, interests and goals, and the names and addresses of two additional references. |
